Whispers had been surfacing recently that the Penguins might be forced to look for another backup goaltender, as Brent Johnson has struggled mightily all season. The veteran quieted those whispers on Wednesday at Air Canada Center in Toronto. Although the Penguins saw their eight-game winning streak end in a 1-0 loss, Johnson's performance gave them reason for satisfaction. Johnson stopped 23 of 24 shots against the Maple Leafs. This game was far different than the one 24 hours ago, when the Penguins and Maple Leafs played pond hockey in a game the Penguins ultimately won, 5-4. It was only a week ago when Clarke MacArthur was demoted to Toronto's fourth line. Now he's scoring big goals again as the Maple Leafs make a push for the playoffs. MacArthur scored late in the third period and James Reimer stopped 25 shots to give Toronto a 1-0 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday night.
